Dear Parents/carers,
Christmas concerts and Carol Services
We are pleased to announce that we plan to hold Christmas concerts and Carol Services which parents/carers can attend by following COVID regulations. However these events are subject to rates of infection and any additional COVID guidance. We know how much our families enjoy seeing our pupils take part in their nativities, Christmas performances and Carol services and we are keen to allow our pupils to showcase their hard work to their parents/carers.
This year we plan to hold our Nursery Nativity performance on Tuesday 14th December at 10.30am in the school hall. Tickets will be limited and households will be asked to sit together with appropriate social distancing in between chairs. Parents will be encouraged to wear a face covering/mask unless they are medically exempt.
We also plan to hold a P1 and P2 performance on Wednesday 15th December at 10.30am and at 1pm in the school hall. It will be the same performance delivered at both 10.30am and 1pm. We are having two sittings to cope with the numbers of parents/carers associated with P1 and P2 classes while ensuring adequate social distancing. Again tickets will be limited and households will be asked to sit together with appropriate social distancing in between chairs. Parents will be encouraged to wear a face covering/mask unless they are medically exempt. P1 and P2 pupils can go home after the 1pm performance with a parent/carer or be picked up as normal at 2pm.
We also plan to hold a P3, P4 and P5 Carol Service on Thursday 16th December at 10.30am in Portstewart Presbyterian Church. Seats will be allocated on a first come first served basis. It is hoped that overflow seating will be available in the church hall with a video link to the live carol service. Households will be asked to register to attend and sit together with appropriate social distancing. Parents will need to wear a face covering/mask unless they are medically exempt to comply with the Presbyterian Church guidelines.
We also plan to hold a P6 and P7 Carol Service on Friday 17th December at 10.30am in Portstewart Presbyterian Church. Seats will be allocated on a first come first served basis. It is hoped that overflow seating will be available in the church hall with a video link to the live carol service. Households will be asked to register to attend and sit together with appropriate social distancing. Parents will need to wear a face covering/mask unless they are medically exempt to comply with the Presbyterian Church guidelines.
More information will follow soon about tickets and how to register to attend the Christmas performances. This information is being given in advance to allow parents/carers to make plans to attend.
