Into Film Club for P5-7

22 February 2019

Film Club

We are delighted to inform you that we are now running a film club in our school through Into Film. A film club is a fun and exciting way for young people to watch, discuss and make films. It’s also a great environment where your child can grow, gain confidence, and engage better in their day-to-day learning and development.

About Into Film

Into Film is a UK-wide cultural arts education organisation, which puts film at the heart of children and young people’s learning and personal development. It provides young people with the opportunity to experience film creatively and supports teachers to achieve a wide range of effective learning outcomes using film.

How your child can get involved?

As well as attending our film club, your child will have the opportunity to explore the wonderful world of film by using the Into Film website www.intofilm.org to search for the films they want to watch, submit reviews, enter exciting competitions and much more!

The films shown in our film club will be suitable for your children’s age. However, from time to time we may choose to show a higher certification than your child’s age group, that we deem suitable and appropriate, for example, a PG rating. Film classifications are explained below. For more details, visit www.bbfc.co.uk.

Film Classifications

U Suitable for audiences aged four years and over. U films should be set within a positive moral framework and should offer reassuring counterbalances to any violence, threat or horror.
