Key dates for May and June 2022

Dear parents/carers,

Please find below key dates for events happening in May and June 2022:

Wednesday 18th May - Swimming Gala for P6 and P7 in Leisure Centre starting at 11am (P6/P7 parents welcome to spectate in the gallery)

Thursday 19th May - Book Fair arrives in school (open each morning at 8.30am - 9am in the school hall)

Thursday 19th May - Netball competition in Coleraine for our Netball team (P6 and P7 pupils only)

Friday 20th May - PTA Wine Tasting event in Fairley's (Coleraine) at 7.30pm (tickets still available)

Friday 20th May - P6 class trip to Londonderry (Mrs Baillie/Miss Blackford's class only)

Saturday 21st May - P7 receive notification of post-primary school 

Saturday 21st May - PTA collection in Supervalu, Portstewart (9am-12noon)

Sunday 22nd May - P5 attend Peace Proms concert in Waterfront Hall, Belfast

Monday 23rd May - Nursery Sports Day at 10am

Tuesday 24th May - P2 trip to Sperrin Fun Farm

Tuesday 24th May - Book Fair finishes 

Wednesday 25th May - Sports Day for Primary School (P1 - P2 at 9.15am, P3 - P4 at 10.30am and P5- P7 at approximately 12.30pm) - more details to follow

Wednesday 25th May and Thursday 26th May - School nurse to visit Nursery pupils

Thursday 26th May - P4 trip to Queen's Platinum Jubilee workshop in Bushmills Causeway

Friday 27th May - P7 Beach School Trip (more details to follow)

Friday 27th May - P5 Football Team attend a competition in Coleraine Showgrounds

Saturday 28th May - PTA collection in Tesco (9am-12noon)

Monday 30th May - Special Jubilee Lunch party outside (if weather permits!) - pupils are encouraged to wear non-uniform and if they wish party attire. 

Tuesday 31st May and Wednesday 1st June - School Development Days for staff (School closed for pupils)

Thursday 2nd June and Friday 3rd June - School closed for Jubilee Bank Holiday

Monday 6th June - Special assembly from Ten Foundations charity

Tuesday 7th May - Cricket Boys Team attend an interschool competition

Wednesday 8th May - Cricket Girls Team attend an interschool competition

Wednesday 8th June - Beach Day for Nursery (more details to follow)

Wednesday 8th June - Surfing afterschool club begins for P7

Thursday 9th June - PTA Summer Fair - school closes at 2pm in preparation for our fantastic Summer Fair (more details to follow)

Thursday 9th June - Interschool Athletics competition 

Friday 10th June - Online Ulster Orchestra Concert Online for senior classes

Friday 10th June - P5 Mrs Blackstock's class and P6/7 McAfee's class - trip to Portrush (more details to follow)

Friday 10th June - Teddy Bear Picnic for Nursery (more details to follow)

Tuesday 14th June - P1 Trip to Cheeky Chimps

Wednesday 15th June - Pirate and Princess themed day in Nursery (more details to follow)

Friday 17th June - Visit to a local farm for Nursery (to be confirmed)

Friday 17th June - Causeway trip for P7 (more details to follow)

Monday 20th June - PTA Annual General meeting 

Tuesday 21st June - Nursery graduation (morning time)

Friday 24th June - P7 Leavers event for pupils (more details to follow)

Monday 20th June - Friday 24th June - Summer club run by Portstewart Presbyterian Church and staff (this will include games, songs, quizzes, and a Bible story in the afternoons during school time)

Sunday 26th June - All children are invited to attend Children's Day in Portstewart Presbyterian (pupils and parents welcome to attend the 10.30am family service)

Monday 27th June - P7 Leavers assembly at 1.30 pm (parents and carers welcome to attend)

Tuesday 28th June - P3 Shared Education park and picnic activity (more details to follow)

Thursday 30th June - School closes at 12 noon (non-uniform)

*Please note that these dates and times are correct at the time of publication but are subject to change. Additional dates have to be added to the list as well, which are currently being planned. 

As you can see we will be very busy this Summer Term but we hope that our children will enjoy lots of the events and activities organised for them.
