PTA Summer Fair on Thursday 9th June from 5.30pm to 7.30pm

11 September 2022

Dear parents/carers,

We are excited that our upcoming Summer Fair is taking place on Thursday 9th June from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. We urgently need donations of:

Unopened bottle of any size or shape. Bottles can include drinks (non-alcoholic), sauce bottles, toiletries (e.g. shampoo, bubble bath etc) for our  bottle stall.

You should have received a letter home with a small sandwich bag attached. If possible, we would ask if you could fill this sandwich bag with sweets, chocolate, small toys, pencils, rubbers, crayons etc and return it to school by Wednesday 8th June. We will sell all donated bags of treats during the fair.

Donations towards the cake stall would be really appreciated. As we are a nut free school, please ensure that all baked good are nut free. All donations can be brought to the school reception on the morning of Thursday 9th June.

- If you have tickets sold be sure to return the stubbs to school, along with any unsold tickets by Wednesday 8th June so they can be added to the draw. If anyone would like additional books of tickets, please call into the school office to collect more. We will be drawing the winners during the Summer Fair.

2 or 3 more helpers would be greatly appreciated to help out at a stall or activity for even a one hour slot. If you would be willing to help on the night of the fair please contact us either via our Facebook page www.facebook.com/portstewartprimarypta or via our email address [email protected] or speak to Mrs Taylor directly.

This year to help ease the running of the Fair we are launching £1 tokens that can be bought ahead of the Fair and on the night. The £1 tokens can be used as payment during the Fair. To prepay your tokens for the Fair please log in to ParentPay where you can purchase tickets at our special offer price of 12 tokens for £10. Tokens will be sent home prior to the fair via your child.

Please join us to enjoy a burger or hot dog from our BBQ, ice cream and a yummy treat from our Bake Sale. We will have a range of inflatables available in the field and lots of fairground games where you can win prizes. This year for the first time we are excited to have ‘Face painting by the Sea’ creating beautiful face painting art and Tales of the Wild will be attending with some amazing animals on show. Don’t miss the chance to throw a wet sponge at a teacher at our ‘Soak the teacher’ stall!

We hope you are able to join us on the 9th June for a wonderful chance to get together as a school community and raise funds for the new Outdoor Learning Area. Thank you for all your support!

Yours sincerely,

Mrs K Taylor
