Dear parents and carers,
School will restart on Tuesday 30th August 2022 for a half day for all primary school aged pupils. Doors will open at 8.45am and school starts at 8.55am. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available for all parents/carers on Tuesday 30th August in the school assembly hall from 8.45am onwards to welcome all our parents/carers back. The school assembly hall can be accessed from the door at the back of the hall which is located in the carpark near the school polytunnel.
Pupils will also attend school on Wednesday 31st August 2022 for a half day. Pupils will go home at 12 noon on Tuesday 30th August and Wednesday 31st August.
Pupils should wear full school uniform next week. PE will start the week beginning 5th September. We will send information home soon about the days in which your child should come to school in their PE uniform.
Pupils should enter and exit school via the various doors as indicated below:
Primary 1 - Mrs Simpson/Mrs Barr's class should enter and exit school via the P1 door in the school playground.
Primary 1/2 - Miss Gilmore's class should enter and exit school via the P1 door in the school playground.
Primary 2 - Mrs Linday's class should enter and exit school via the Queenora entrance.
Primary 3 - Miss McCurdy/Miss Scott's class should enter and exit school via the Queenora entrance.
Primary 4 - Miss Anderson's class should enter and exit school via the door leading out into the Key Stage 2 playground.
Primary 5 - Mrs Bovaird's class should enter and exit school via the P5 door near the school polytunnel.
Primary 5/6 - Mrs Rankin's class should enter and exit the school via the door beside the classroom which can be accessed via the Junior playground.
Primary 6/7 - Mrs Baillie/Mrs McGuigan's class should enter and exit school via the door leading out into the Key Stage 2 playground.
Primary 7 - Miss McAfee's class should enter and exit school via the main front door.
All pupils in the primary school will finish at 2pm on Thursday 1st September and Friday 2nd September. Normal school hours will recommence on Monday 5th September 2022. Nursery pupils have already received separate information about staggered starting arrangements.

We welcome a number of new staff to our school. Mrs R Bovaird will be teaching Primary 5, Miss R Hanna will be teaching Nursery and Miss E Scott will be teaching Primary 3 on a Thursday and Friday. We also welcome back Miss F McCurdy who had been off school last year on maternity leave. Miss C Blackford got married over the summer and will now be called Mrs McGuigan.
